The Living body of Wholeness

Transformational Focusing II: A Wholebody/Spiritbody Integration

A RETREAT WORKSHOP
January 27-30, 2011,
Santa Rabina Retreat Center

Workshop Leaders:

Glenn Fleisch, Ph.D., MFT
Doralee Grindler Katonah, Psy.D., M.Div.

Announcing a new Focusing retreat in a beautiful natural setting to engage a deep unfolding of the expression of our desires as we open to the well-spring of life itself. Enjoy the guidance of two experienced Focusing teachers who will weave the practices of Wholebody Focusing and Spiritbody Focusing together into a dance of the living body, a journey of transformation through Focusing with the Wholebody & Spiritbody.

Many of us have felt we have settled for less, and are wanting more- yet feel held back by ingrained habits. Beneath the level of conditioned responses and habitual patterns lies a well-spring of Intelligence and Life-energy. Bringing awareness to this inner source allows us to access the living body's own knowing, opening new possibilities for deepened experiencing and carrying forward our deepest desires and wants.

This retreat is an opportunity to learn Transformational Focusing, an experiential process of deep change that enables us to access the wisdom of the Wholebody /Spiritbody as guides for living from the wholeness of Being. In this new space, we can invite and await the body's felt sense of next steps- which tend to naturally awaken and move us forward. When we connect to our living body of wholeness, we are bringing conscious awareness to the well-spring of  Intelligence and energy that works on behalf of the transformation of ourselves and of all beings.

Join us as we explore the inner depths of our embodied Wholeness, to access the Body as a Tuning Fork for Spirit, leading to an encounter with spirit and whatever emerges that needs attention. This is a unique opportunity to experience the transformative power of Grounded Presence (WB Awareness) to access the inner knowing of our body-wisdom:  to release blocked energy patterns; to allow parts of ourselves to open outward & express themselves; to empower taking next steps that are difficult to take;  to harness the power of Co-Presence of the whole group for support and healing; and to return and reintegrate all parts into their Home.

Other workshop exercises and small group opportunities will expand and deepen your Focusing process- through a balance of inner meditative body sensing with outer expressive/interactive processing. We will offer times to work in Focusing partnerships and triads. During the Encounter Phase of the process, we will engage the whole group in the “theatre of the living body” — and experience the ways in which we are called to participate in the deep healing of each person.  There will also be ample time to be in nature, journal, and play, plus creative, fun evening activities. We will put time aside for more explicit facilitator skill training and practice, for those who are interested.
